The Best 10 Hercule Poirot’s Books
To read if you’re totally in love with the most famous egg-headed detective
When I was just a little girl, everyday I saw in my mother’s bedroom’s library a yellow spot between all the other books.
There were thick and thin ones. Some of those were dark and others in intense colors. All different and irregular.
And then, I’m the middle, this tidy, monochromatic row.
In many years I memorized all the titles in the order my mother put them down in the library, but never picked one up and opened it.
As long as one day, without even thinking, I reached my hand, I opened the cover and I started reading.
First the description of every character (the first edition used to do that) then right in the story.
I took a deep breath and I started breathing again only when I turned the last page.
Every page called the next one, without even giving the chance to rest. Not even for a second.
So I came to the end, my favorite part, when Poirot used to reunite all the suspects e tell everyone how he reach the heart of the mystery, which nothing else is but the simple observation of the things sorrounding him.
